St. Peterโs College (SPC) has been honored as one of the top higher education institutions in the Philippines at the 2024 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) Innovative Awards ceremony. Out of 13 outstanding higher education institutions, SPC secured a noteworthy Top 4 spot in recognition of its unwavering commitment to excellence in academic programs and innovative Drug Education and Prevention Programs.
The Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) Innovative Awards for Higher Education aims to highlight the role of educational institutions in combating the proliferation of illegal drugs. This initiative is a collaboration between the Commission on Higher Education and the Dangerous Drug Board. Its awarding ceremony took place on May 17, 2024, at CHED Auditorium, Quezon City. The event brought together esteemed individuals, including SPC President Peter Dan P. Punongbayan, MM, and Vice President for Administration, Reggie D. Punongbayan, to celebrate the outstanding achievements of higher education institutions in the realm of anti-drug initiatives.
By fostering partnerships between academe and government agencies, the awards program seeks to inspire excellence and innovation in anti-illegal drug initiatives at the tertiary level.
