Q. What is Moodle?

A: Moodle stands for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. The Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) provides an online learning platform/ virtual classroom for teachers to create lessons, manage courses and interact with students. You can access your SPC Moodle account once you successfully enroll for the term.

Q. Do I need to have a laptop/PC to access my Moodle account?

A: Moodle can be accessed through your smart phones. However, with laptop/pc, it will provide you better visuals and easier access to the platform.

Q. Will all the classes this summer be in Moodle?

A: Subjects from the old curriculum will use Distance learning method instead of Moodle.

Q. How does distance learning work? Is it the same with Moodle?

A: Moodle is an online learning platform for Learning Management System (LMS). In other words, it is a virtual classroom. Distance learning will not utilize Moodle. Instead, it will utilize other forms of social media such as email, Zoom, Skype, Facebook, Messenger, and other similar platforms where in you can interact with your instructor for your lessons.

Q: How do I know if my subjects taken for summer class belong to distance learning or LMS (Moodle)?

A: Upon viewing the offered subject/courses, you can find a note after each subject title indicating whether it is an LMS (Moodle) or a Distance Learning subject. Also, if your chosen subjects are from the old curriculum, then you can assume that your subjects to be taken are categorized as Distance Learning, although there are some subjects in the old curriculum which are presented in Moodle format.

Q: How do I pay my tuition fee for summer?

A: You will receive payment instructions through your official enrollment Gmail account upon receiving an update of your enrollment status.
