May 9, 2024- In a demonstration of enthusiasm and commitment to democracy, students gathered this afternoon at the Covered Court for the eagerly awaited Miting de Avance. With the upcoming student council elections scheduled on May 10, 2024, the event served as a platform for candidates to communicate their visions and interact with their peers.
Facilitated under the guidance of Ms. Dianne Bahala, Dean of Student Affairs and Services, and moderated by Mr. Joandre Arcilla, CAS Faculty member, the event highlighted the significance of student leadership and active involvement in campus affairs. The candidates seized the opportunity to address critical issues affecting the student community, from academic policies to sustainable campus initiatives.
The Miting de Avance not only provided a chance for students to get to know the candidates but also promoted active engagement in the voting process. It acted as a focal point, stirring excitement and laying the foundation for a lively and impactful student council election.
