On August 12, 2024, St. Peter’s College -College of Computer Studies, led by Dean Mellanie S. Gambe, MS IT, and Program Head Rolan Meryll Montebon, had a productive meeting with JCINSP Carlo F. Obrique, Warden of Iligan City Jail Male Dormitory, and Admin JNOR Ma’am JO1 Vanessa C. Manguilimotan. The discussion focused on the upcoming Community Extension program aimed at providing ICT training to persons deprived of liberty and staff at BJMP Iligan City Jail-Male Dormitory.
Just a few days later, on August 16, 2024, our College of Computer Studies Community Extension Team, assisted by JO2 Walter W. Mainit Jr. (head of the Welfare and Development Unit) and JO1 Vanessa C. Manguilimotan, carried out a Community Needs Assessment (CNA) to tailor the program to the specific needs of qualified PDLs.
Together, we’re paving the way for new opportunities and skills development within the community.
