SPC College of Criminology proudly celebrated the 1st Criminology Intern Badging Ceremony, marking a significant milestone for its criminology students transitioning from academia to the real world of law enforcement and justice. Held at the SPC Quadrangle from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, the event was a momentous occasion that honored the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the interns who have diligently prepared for their future roles in the field of criminology.
The ceremony was themed “Bridging Academia and Practice: Celebrating Criminology Interns’ Milestone,” reflecting the critical juncture where theoretical knowledge meets practical application. This theme underscored the importance of the interns’ journey, highlighting the blend of academic rigor and hands-on experience that has equipped them for their upcoming professional challenges.
We were privileged to have Supt. Romeo L. Miranda, Iligan City Fire Marshal, as our esteemed guest of honor and speaker. In his address, Supt. Miranda shared invaluable insights from his extensive fire service and law enforcement career, emphasizing the importance of integrity, service, and continuous learning in their future careers. His words resonated deeply with the interns, who are poised to carry forward the lessons learned at St. Peter’s College into their professional lives.
The ceremony also featured the formal badging of the interns, symbolizing their readiness to take on the responsibilities of their chosen field. As each intern received their badge, it signified not only their academic achievements but also their preparedness to contribute meaningfully to society’s safety and security. The 1st Criminology Intern Badging Ceremony at St. Peter’s College will undoubtedly be remembered as a defining moment in the lives of the interns as they embark on their journey into the dynamic and impactful world of law enforcement and justice.
